A series of water incursions resulting from multiple atmospheric river events during the winter of 2023 caused major damage to all four levels of my duplex. Dore Construction came to the rescue, not only properly diagnosing the underlying causes of the massive leaks, one of which dated back to the way my building was improperly constructed in 1986, but also making many improvements in my building that I had only dreamed of for many years.Anthony Dore is really a jack-of-all-trades – and a master of all to boot! As a licensed plumber and carpenter as well as a general contractor, he was able to do many aspects of my huge reconstruction and renewal project, including installing new ceilings, walls, insulation, windows and cabinetry, rebuilding decks, and correcting serious plumbing issues, among many other tasks I do not have enough space to list here. And his highly competent subcontractors, e.g., flooring and stucco subs, did a great job under Anthony’s supervision.As a professional, I most appreciated Anthony Dore’s work ethic and what he expected of his crew and of all his subcontractors. Although Anthony was willing to do a per project quote, in view of the extent of my repairs and renovations, we both felt more comfortable with billing time and materials on a weekly basis.Bottom line: I give Dore Construction my highest recommendation.

I had the great experience of working with Tony after I purchased and needed to renovate an old Victorian building in San Francisco. Tony is very knowledgeable in all aspects of construction and does beautiful work. Among some of the stand out work he did included trimming and installing all new windows throughout, removing and rebuilding a dangerous rear porch and staircase, and restoring missing Victorian detail on the front of the building. Tony was a pleasure to work with and was easy to communicate with. I am very confident in his abilities, enough that I referred him to my brother-in-law who also faced a major project repairing house from significant water damage on Potrero Hill. I would not hesitate to bring him and his team in on future work
Anthony was recommended by a trustworthy friend after a no call no show from another contractor and another high bid. I needed work done at a center-based preschool while it was closed (2 weeks) for summer break. Anthony exceeded my expectations. Not only does he communicate well, his prices are worth it, and he executed the job in the time needed. Dore construction is reliable, pays attention to detail, respectful, creative and professional. It was smooth working with him. Definitely rehiring for future projects. Super impressed with his work ethic and dependability.
I needed some work done in my backyard to replace my fence, side gate and haul away dirt/junk and some yard work. Tony (the owner) also noticed that there was rust/corrosion on my downspout which needed replacing. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have noticed how much damage there was. He replaced it with a new downspout and even painted it the same color as my house.
Tony and his crew are very thorough and efficient. They take pride in providing the best quality service and I can assure you that I am highly satisfied with the results. They are professional, reliable and easy to work with. I highly recommend their services!!
Dore Construction worked on our kitchen and two bathrooms. They did an excellent job -- even considering all the different stonework we asked for. They came in promptly each day and cleaned up at the of the day. The price was excellent. I had a lot of stonework involved in this project and it was done very professionally. The end result was a beautiful remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. I highly recommend Dore Construction for your home improvement needs.
